History
The South Shenango Cemetery is on the east side of Legislative Route 20004 (Linesville Road) about .5 miles north of the intersection with US Route 322. The cemetery was the burial ground of the Shenango United Presbyterian Church founded in 1801 with the first pastor being Rev. Daniel McLean who served until 1854. The first services were held in a tent, and in 1805 a log church was built. A frame church was erected in 1818, the first frame building in the township, and was replaced in 1879. The church closed in 1964 and the graveyard transferred to the cemetery association. (The Crawford County Genealogical Society and the Crawford County Historical Society)
